1. A stray light suppression system, comprising:
- a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replaceably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user;
the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; and
the shroud further comprising a peripheral lighting effects system;
wherein the shroud further includes a tactile effects system adapted to effect tactile effects in coordination with content presented in a field of view, wherein the tactile effects system includes a piezo vibratory system, and wherein the piezo vibratory system is positioned on a side of the eye cover.

a shroud mechanically adapted to be removably and replaceably mounted to a see-through display system adapted to be worn on the head of a user; the shroud further adapted to, when mounted on the see-through display system, suppress light emitted from the see-through display system and suppress surrounding environment light from entering sides of the see-through display system; and the shroud further comprising a peripheral lighting effects system, wherein the peripheral lighting effects system includes a light source substantially surrounding the inside cavity for controlled placement of the effect lighting direction.
