1. A device to be imbedded in a body for monitoring wear or motion of a bone within the body, said device comprising:
- at least one RFID tag having an antenna subject at least to mechanical wear upon movement of said bone, whereby failure of said antenna indicates wear or movement of the bone; and
RF signal blocking means for blocking external signals from reaching said tag, said blocking means being subject at least to mechanical wear upon movement of said bone, whereby failure of said blocking means enables said signals to activate said tag, thus indicating wear or movement of said bone.
