1. A method for regulating wireless power transfer from a primary unit operable to transmit power to a secondary unit operable to receive power, said primary unit comprising at least one primary coil, at least one driver, at least one primary microcontroller, and at least one primary signal receiver;
- and said secondary unit comprising at least one secondary coil, at least one secondary microcontroller, and at least one secondary signal transmitter, the method comprising the following steps;
establishing a communication channel operable to transfer electromagnetic signals between said at least one primary signal receiver and said at least one secondary signal transmitter;
said primary unit transmitting detection pulses;
said secondary unit detecting said detection pulse;
said secondary unit transmitting a confirmation signal to said primary unit;
said primary unit receiving said confirmation signal;
said at least one driver providing a high frequency oscillating voltage across said at least one primary coil;
said at least one primary coil transmitting power to said at least one secondary coil;
said at least one secondary microcontroller monitoring power transferred to said at least one secondary coil;
said at least one secondary microcontroller generating a regulation signal;
said at least one secondary signal transmitter transmitting a regulation signal to said primary unit;
said at least one primary signal receiver receiving said regulation signal; and
said at least one primary microcontroller regulating the power transmitted according to said regulation signal.

A pin-less power coupling arrangement comprising at least one pin-less power jack; the power jack comprising a primary coil shielded behind an insulating layer for inductive coupling to a pin-less power plug; said power plug comprising a secondary coil wherein said insulating layer is substantially flat and said power plug and said power jack may be aligned by an alignment means. Various such alignment means are discussed as are enabled surfaces for supporting inductive power jacks and inductive plugs coupled to various appliances.
