Energy delivery modulation in wireless power delivery environments
First Claim
1. A method of operating a retrodirective wireless power transmission system to modify energy at one or more physical locations within a multipath wireless power delivery environment, the method comprising:
- generating a wireless power delivery schedule for sequentially providing wireless power to wireless power receiver clients within the multipath wireless power delivery environment;
identifying a virtual map of the multipath wireless power delivery environment;
identifying one or more energy modification regions on the virtual map; and
sequentially providing wireless power to the wireless power receiver clients according to the wireless power delivery schedule while concurrently modifying energy at the one or more physical locations within the multipath wireless power delivery environment corresponding to the one or more energy modification regions,wherein the wireless power is provided to each wireless power delivery client over multiple wireless power delivery paths that constructively interfere at or near the particular wireless power delivery client.

Abstract
Techniques are described for accumulating data regarding the charging environment and power delivery efficiency at various regions in the environment under various transmission conditions. In some embodiments, this data may be utilized to generate efficient and sophisticated power transmission schedules; however, this data may also be leveraged for the manipulation of the standing waves within the environment. This allows for two discrete and powerful applications: creation of null zones and conversely the generation of high power regions. These regions may also be referred to as ‘power nulls’ and ‘energy balls’ respectively.
