Method and apparatus for creating dynamic webpages in a media communication system

1. A web server, comprising:
- a processing system including a processor; and
a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising;
receiving a request for a webpage from a device used by a subscriber of a media service;
providing, to the device, the webpage to the device including application system subscriber data to identify available subscribed-to services of the device, wherein the available subscribed-to services are supplied by different content sources including a third party service provider, wherein the device adapts a presentation of the webpage to display available subscribed-to services identified by the application system subscriber data without presenting subscribed-to services provided by other service providers that are not identified by the application system subscriber data;
receiving a selection of the third party service provider from the device; and
providing the application system subscriber data related to the selection of the third party service provider to equipment of the third party service provider responsive to receiving the selection of the third party service provider.

Abstract
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, an Internet Protocol Television system having a controller to create a template defining a format of presentation of an webpage or HTML page using an iTV or IPTV application system, receive a request for the page from a subscriber of the iTV or IPTV system. The system can access application system subscriber data for the subscriber and a presentation of the page is dynamically adapted according to the application system subscriber data. In one alternative at, the page can be dynamically adapted by changing in content or by changing a look and feel of an HTML page or webpage. In another alternative, the webpage or HTML page can be dynamically adapted by modifying graphic user interface elements based on the application system subscriber data. Other embodiments are disclosed.

a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising; receiving application system subscriber data identifying available subscribed-to services for use at the processing system, wherein the available subscribed-to services are supplied by different content sources; determining communication resources of the processing system, wherein the communication resources of the processing system comprise a third party voice communication service that can be initiated from the processing system; and adapting a presentation of a graphical user interface presented by the processing system to display the available subscribed-to services determined from the application system subscriber data and to exclude subscribed-to services provided by a content provider that is not identified in the application system subscriber data; receiving a selection of the third party voice communication service through the graphical user interface; and providing the application system subscriber data to equipment of the third party voice communication service responsive to receiving the selection of the third party voice communication service. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15)

obtaining, by a processing system including a processor, application system subscriber data that identifies available subscribed-to services for use at the processing system, wherein the available subscribed-to services are supplied by different content sources; adapting, by the processing system, a presentation of a graphical user interface to display the available subscribed-to services identified by the application system subscriber data and to exclude subscribed-to services that are not identified in the application system subscriber data, wherein communication resources of the processing system include a voice communication service that can be initiated from the processing system; and providing the application system subscriber data to equipment of a content source responsive to receiving a selection of the voice communication service through the graphical user interface. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19, 20)
