1. A method for controlling a wireless power receiver including a battery, the method comprising:
- receiving power wirelessly;
rectifying the received power and outputting rectified power, wherein a voltage of the rectified power is dependent on a voltage of the received power;
comparing the voltage of the rectified power dependent on the voltage of the received power with an allowable voltage of the battery, wherein the allowable voltage is selected from a maximum voltage and a preferable voltage of the battery; and
determining whether to convert the rectified power or not based on the comparison result.

18. A wireless power receiver, comprising:
-
an electric power-receiving unit that receives a power wirelessly; a rectifying unit that rectifies the received power and outputs rectified power, wherein a voltage of the rectified power is dependent on a voltage of the received power; a battery that stores power; a control unit that determines whether the voltage of the rectified power dependent on the voltage of the received power is equal to or higher than an allowable voltage of the battery, wherein the allowable voltage is selected from one of a maximum voltage and a preferable voltage of the battery; and a converting unit that includes a first route for converting the voltage of the rectified power to a predetermined voltage and a second route for directly outputting the rectified power to the battery, wherein the voltage of the rectified power is related to a voltage of the received power. - View Dependent Claims (19, 20)
