1. A communication network for wireless communication comprising:

  • a base station configured for transmitting and receiving a communication signal on at least two equal-frequency MIMO-coded information channels;

    a wireless terminal configured for transmitting and receiving a communication signal on at least two equal-frequency MIMO-coded information channels;

    at least one repeater coupled between the base station and the wireless terminal, the repeater being configured for receiving, passing through and retransmitting communication signals on at least two equal-frequency MIMO-coded information channels and containing a converting device for frequency conversion of at least one information channel passed therethrough;

    a test receiver configured for determining unused frequency ranges that are situated outside the frequency bands allocated to mobile radio for wireless communication, the test receiver being coupled with the converting device of the repeater and the converting device configured for carrying out frequency conversion in at least one communication direction (UL, DL) to a frequency from the unused frequency ranges situated outside the frequency bands allocated to mobile radio so that the MIMO-coded information channels are transmitted using different frequencies compared to each other;

    the repeater being configured for transmitting the communication signal wirelessly with the at least one frequency-converted information channel in the at least one communication direction so that at least one frequency-converted MIMO-coded information channel is transported on a different frequency outside the frequency bands allocated to mobile radio.
