1. A method comprising:
- analyzing, using a processor, information associated with an e-mail being composed by a user to determine whether content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system;
responsive to determining that the content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system, presenting to the user a first option to enter the content of the e-mail in a first social system and a second option to enter the content of the e-mail in a second social system;
responsive to the user selecting to enter the content of the e-mail in the first social system, automatically creating a first entry in the first social system, the first entry comprising the content of the e-mail composed by the user;
within an e-mail client used by the user to compose the e-mail, presenting to the user the first entry in the first social system;
permitting the user to interact with the first social system to modify the first entry; and
responsive to the user selecting to post the first entry in the first social system, posting the first entry in the first social system.

Arrangements described herein relate to initiating social interaction based on e-mail content. Information associated with an e-mail being composed by a user can be analyzed to determine whether content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system. Responsive to determining that the content of the e-mail is appropriate for incorporation into at least one social system, a first option to enter the content of the e-mail in a first social system and a second option to enter the content of the e-mail in a second social system can be presented to the user. Responsive to the user selecting to enter the content of the e-mail in the first social system, a first entry in the first social system can be automatically created. The first entry can include the content of the e-mail composed by the user.
