1. A method comprising:

  • using a second frequency band for communication;

    using a first frequency band, having a lower frequency than the second frequency band and a wider beam width, for beam forming assistance for the second frequency band;

    using the beam forming assistance from the first frequency band to fine tune the beam for the second frequency band;

    receiving a frame in an initiator in said first frequency band from a remote device; and

    transmitting over the first frequency band, a communication to the remote device to determine the remote device'"'"'s capability to transmit on said second frequency band;

    repositioning directional transmitters and receivers of said initiator and said remote device; and

    thereafter transmitting a test signal to establish a link between the initiator and the remote device.
