1. A vehicle system comprising:
- a power management module comprising a processor having a data direction register (DDR) that includes a first port and a logic circuit coupled to the processor and at least one vehicle subsystem, wherein the first port is preset to an input direction, wherein the processor is programmed to;
determine an ignition state and a speed of a vehicle;
when the ignition state is OFF and the speed is above a predetermined threshold, provide power to the at least one vehicle subsystem via the logic circuit; and
when the ignition state is OFF and the speed is less than a predetermined threshold, then change the first port to an output direction to remove power from the at least one vehicle subsystem.

6. A method comprising:
-
determining, at a processor of a power management module in a vehicle, an ignition state of the vehicle, wherein the processor includes a data direction register (DDR) and is coupled to at least one vehicle subsystem; determining, at the processor, a speed of the vehicle; comparing, at the processor, the speed to a predetermined threshold; when the ignition state is OFF and when the speed is above the predetermined threshold, then providing power to the at least one vehicle subsystem; and when the ignition state is OFF and when the speed is less than the predetermined threshold, then changing a port of the DDR from an input direction to an output direction to remove power from the at least one vehicle subsystem. - View Dependent Claims (7, 8, 9)
