1. A method for regulating communications between a mobile communications device and a plurality of communication servers with improved power consumption at said mobile communications device, comprising:
- a) bringing a mobile communications device in network communication with said plurality of communications servers per a schedule that synchronizes (i) transmission of said communications from said mobile communications device to at least a subset of said plurality of communications servers and (ii) retrieval of said communications from at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers to said mobile communications device over a period of time, wherein said mobile communications device includes an electronic display with a user interface for displaying said communications in a unified thread that is configured to display communications from different communications protocols;
b) using said schedule to (i) retrieve said communications at said mobile communications device from at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers, or (ii) transmit said communications from said mobile communications device to at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers, wherein said communications are retrieved or transmitted over said period of time, and wherein said communications are retrieved or transmitted using said different communications protocols; and
c) displaying said communications in said unified thread of said user interface, thereby regulating said communications between said mobile communications device and said plurality of communication servers with improved power consumption at said mobile communications device.

a communications interface that brings said mobile communications device in network communication with said plurality of communications servers per a schedule that synchronizes (i) transmission of said communications to at least a subset of said plurality of communications servers and (ii) retrieval of said communications from at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers over a period of time, wherein said mobile communications device includes an electronic display with a user interface for displaying said communications to or from said plurality of communications servers in a unified thread that is configured to display communications from different communications protocols; and a computer processor that is programmed to use said schedule to (i) retrieve said communications from at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers or transmit said communications to at least said subset of said plurality of communications servers, wherein said communications are retrieved or transmitted over said period of time, and wherein said communications are retrieved or transmitted using said different communications protocols, and (ii) display said communications in said unified thread of said user interface, thereby regulating communications between said mobile communications device and said plurality of communication servers with improved power consumption at said mobile communications device. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
