1. A method for reducing an interference between overlapping first and second wireless cells in a medium, each of the first and second wireless cells including a respective plurality of member stations and an overlapped station occupying both the first and second wireless cells, the method comprising:

  • receiving, by the overlapped station in the first wireless cell, from a first access point station a beacon packet containing a value representing an inter-cell contention-free period, wherein the value is associated with an accessing order in the medium for member stations in the first and second wireless cells; and

    forwarding, by the overlapped station in the first wireless cell, the value to a second access point station of the member stations in the second wireless cell.
