Monitoring fitness using a mobile device
First Claim
1. A computer-implemented method comprising:
- receiving from a first sensor, locational data of a user traversing over a route having a plurality of locations comprising at least a first location and a second location during performance of an athletic activity;
receiving from a second sensor, athletic performance data of the user performing the athletic activity and storing the athletic performance data of the athletic activity in association with the route;
receiving from an electronic source, an indication of audio data presented to the user while traversing over the route between at least the first and the second location, the audio data having a first tempo;
generating a route map showing the route, wherein the route map further includes one or more markers on the route identifying at least one metric of the athletic performance data;
responsive to receiving a user input interacting with a first marker associated with the first location, providing information relating to the audio data presented to the user at a time the user traversed the first location of the route in an information display portion; and
responsive to receiving a user selection interacting with the information display portion, providing the information of the audio data simultaneously with the at least one metric.

Abstract
Athletic performance monitoring and tracking may provide multiple ways in which to track athletic movement and activity. In one example, an athletic monitoring device may include or be associated with multiple types of movement sensors and switch between the sensors or use both depending on various factors including type of workout. Workouts may also be tagged with various parameters including mood, weather, terrain, athletic equipment used and the like. In one or more examples, the parameters may be automatically determined based on location. User workouts and accomplishments may also be celebrated through messages from celebrities, family, friends and other users. In some cases, the messages may be triggered by various conditions. Coaching may also be provided to the user to help improve workouts and overall athletic performance. Running routes may also be automatically tracked, stored and shared.

20. An apparatus comprising:
-
a processor; a display; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer readable instructions that, when executed, cause a processor to at least perform; store athletic performance data for an athletic activity performed by a user on a memory; receiving a first and a second geographic location associated with the athletic activity from a geographic location determination system; determine at least one attribute of the first and the second geographic locations, wherein the at least one attribute includes information other than identification of geographic locations associated with the athletic activity performed; and tag the athletic performance data with the determined at least one attribute of the first and the second geographic locations; receive from an electronic source, an indication of audio data presented to the user while traversing over a route between at least the first geographic location and a second geographic location, the audio data having a first tempo; generate a route map of the route, wherein the route map is configured to include one or more markers on the route identifying at least two parameters selected from a group of;
information relating to the audio data, at least one metric of the athletic performance data, and at least one of the determined attributes of the first and second geographic locations;displaying the route map on the display comprising the one or more markers, wherein the route map is displayed in a first configuration showing at least the at least one metric of the athletic performance data; responsive to receiving a user input interacting with a first marker associated with the first geographic location, displaying on the display, information relating to the audio data presented to the user at a time the user traversed the first geographic location of the route in a portion of the display; and responsive to receiving a user selection interacting with the portion of the display, provide the information of the audio data simultaneous with the at least one metric.
