) network comprising at least two BLE enabled nodes between which a first BLE link is established as a point-to-point link for single-hop transmission; and
a Wireless Sensor Network (“

) controlling BLE link activity within the BLE network such that the first BLE link is active in a first mode under a first condition and converted to a second mode under a second condition different from the first condition;
wherein the at least two BLE enabled nodes have an indirect non-BLE based network connectivity through the WSN.
