Insertion system and insertion kit
First Claim
1. An insertion system for insertion into skin comprising:
- a housing comprising a wall defining a cavity, and at least one first coupling element capable of releasably securing the insertion system to an inserter device,a first part comprising a subcutaneous element and a first base element with at least one base plate engagement element,a second part comprising a needle hub and at least one insertion needle secured to the needle hub, wherein the second part is moveable from a first position to a second position relative to the housing along an insertion axis;
an actuator element comprising an outer part external to the housing such that manual actuation of the actuator element in relation to the housing is enabled, wherein at least a part of the actuator element moves radially outward relative to the insertion axis when the second part is moved to the second position such that at least one insertion needle is inserted into the skin.
