1. A device comprising:
- one or more modules, wherein each of said one or more modules comprises;
(a) one or more valve arrays, each comprising a series of valves connected through fluidic connections, each of said series of valves comprising, in order, a first terminal valve, at least three intermediate valves and a second terminal valve;
(b) a plurality of first ports, each fluidically connected through a separate control valve to a common rail, said common rail fluidically connected to each of the first terminal valves of said valve arrays; and
(c) a plurality of second ports, each fluidically connected through a separate control valve to a common rail, said common rail fluidically connected to each of the second terminal valves of said valve arrays,wherein each of said first terminal valves, said second terminal valves and said intermediate valves of said valve arrays comprises a valve with a valve chamber.

Abstract
The invention provides systems, devices, methods, and kits for performing an integrated analysis. The integrated analysis can include sample processing, library construction, amplification, and sequencing. The integrated analysis can be performed within one or more modules that are fluidically connected to each other. The one or more modules can be controlled and/or automated by a computer. The integrated analysis can be performed on a tissue sample, a clinical sample, or an environmental sample. The integrated analysis system can have a compact format and return results within a designated period of time.
