1. A method of joining parts of a piping system comprising:

  • (a) providing a first pipe or pipe fitting;

    (b) providing a second pipe or pipe fitting; and

    ,(c) joining the first pipe or pipe fitting to the second pipe or pipe fitting by inserting the first pipe or pipe fitting into the second pipe or pipe fitting whereby a gap is positioned between an outer surface of the first pipe or pipe fitting and an inner surface of the second pipe or pipe fitting and injecting into the gap a liquid pipe joining material comprising;

    (i) a thermoplastic material comprising at least one of polyvinyl chloride and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, wherein the thermoplastic material comprises over 75% by weight of the pipe joining material based on the total weight of the pipe joining material;

    (ii) a bonding agent for the thermoplastic material selected from the group consisting of polyamide, ethylene acrylate copolymer, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer, polyurethane, polyester, polyolefin, polycaprolactone, soy protein and styrene block co-polymer,wherein the pipe joining material secures the first pipe or pipe fitting to the second pipe or pipe fitting.
