1. A releasable connection assembly for connecting tubing sections, the releasable connection assembly comprising:

  • a dual lumen male bayonet connector comprising;

    a first shaft and a second shaft spaced apart from and connected to the first shaft, each of the first shaft and the second shaft further defining an axial lumen, and each of the first shaft and the second shaft comprising;

    a distal sealing portion defining a sealing surface configured to engage a receiving portion of a female latch connector of the releasable connection assembly;

    a proximal coupling portion configured to engage a first section of tubing; and

    an annular channel proximal to and directly adjacent the distal sealing portion, the annular channel of each of the first shaft and the second shaft comprising;

    a distal sidewall that is perpendicular with respect to an axis of the axial lumen;

    a proximal sidewall having a beveled edge; and

    a bottom region connecting the distal sidewall and the beveled edge that has a constant outer diameter and is concentric with and of smaller diameter than the sealing surface,wherein the sealing surface has a constant outer diameter along a portion of its axial length and extends distally from the annular channel; and

    the female latch connector comprising;

    a proximal end defining two receiving apertures configured to receive at least part of the distal sealing portions of the first shaft and the second shaft,two sealing members configured to contact the sealing surfaces of the distal sealing portions of the first shaft and the second shaft, anda distal end comprising two tube couplings configured to engage second sections of tubing.
