1. A medical device comprising:
- a first arm and a second arm each having a proximal end, a distal end, an inner surface, and an outer surface, wherein the first arm and the second arm are coupled to an elongate member at the respective proximal ends of the first arm and the second arm to form a jaw-like structure, wherein at least one of the first arm and the second arm is moveably coupled to the elongate member, and wherein the inner surfaces of the first arm and the second arm cooperatively form a grasping region of the jaw-like structure;
a plurality of ridges extending along the inner surface of at least one of the first arm and the second arm, wherein each of the plurality of ridges extends along the inner surface of the corresponding first arm or the second arm in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the jaw-like structure;
a channel extending from a proximal region to a distal region of at least one of the first arm and the second arm; and
an advancing member dimensioned to be at least partially received within the channel and configured to move between a proximal region of the channel and a distal region of the channel.

Abstract
A medical device including an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The medical device may further include an end-effector disposed at the distal end of the elongate member. The end-effector may include a plurality of arms pivotally connected to one another, wherein each arm includes a tissue-contacting surface, a first portion of the tissue-contacting surface including a plurality of ridges configured to grasp tissue. Further, the tissue-contacting surface may include a channel oriented substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the medical device.
