1. A system for treating a bifurcated vessel having a mother vessel and a daughter vessel, the system comprising:

  • a mother catheter having an elongate shaft, the elongate shaft having a mother vessel guidewire lumen extending at least partially therethrough, and a mother vessel expandable member disposed on a distal catheter portion of the mother catheter elongate shaft; and

a daughter catheter having an elongate shaft, the elongate shaft having a daughter vessel guidewire lumen extending at least partially therethrough, and a daughter vessel expandable member disposed on a distal catheter portion of the daughter catheter elongate shaft; and

a mother stent disposed on the mother vessel expandable member, wherein the mother stent comprises a proximal opening, a distal opening and a side hole therebetween for alignment with an ostium of the daughter vessel, and wherein the mother stent has a crimped configuration for delivery through the mother vessel and an expanded configuration in which the mother stent is configured to support a vessel wall of the mother or daughter vessel, andwherein the daughter catheter elongate shaft extends through the proximal opening of the mother stent and exits the mother stent through the side hole when the mother stent is in the crimped configuration and the daughter vessel expandable member is disposed distal of the mother vessel expandable member for concurrent advancement of the mother and daughter catheters through the mother vessel, and wherein the daughter catheter elongate shaft is slidable relative to the mother catheter elongate shaft when the mother stent is in the crimped configuration such that the daughter catheter is proximally retractable relative to the mother catheter to position the daughter vessel expandable member partially within the mother stent in the crimped configuration, and wherein the daughter vessel expandable member includes a proximal working portion and a distal working portion, the distal working portion having a length sufficient so that the distal working portion extends into the mother or daughter vessel distal to the side hole when a proximal end of the proximal working portion is positioned proximal to the proximal end of the mother stent in the crimped configuration.
