Abstract

An example system includes: a server machine having a storage unit for storing reproduction data involved in reproduction of game play and a data transmitting unit for transmitting reproduction data stored in the storage unit; and an information processing device having a data receiving unit for receiving reproduction data transmitted by the server machine, a reproduction processing unit for displaying reproduction of game play at a display unit in response to reproduction data received by the data receiving unit, a character display processing unit for displaying one or a plurality of character objects at the display unit during reproduction of game play by the reproduction processing unit, and a character action processing unit for causing a character object displayed by the character display processing unit to take a predetermined action with reproduction of game play by the reproduction processing unit.

Claims

1. An information processing system comprising:

a server machine at least having a storage unit for storing reproduction data involved in reproduction of video game play and a data transmitting unit for transmitting reproduction data stored in the storage unit; and

an information processing device at least having;

an operation unit for receiving user input for providing control of a video game;

a data receiving unit for receiving reproduction data transmitted by the server machine,

a reproduction processing unit for displaying reproduction of video game play at a display unit in response to reproduction data received by the data receiving unit,

a character display processing unit for, during reproduction of video game play by the reproduction processing unit, displaying, apart from the reproduction, one or a plurality of video game character objects of the video game at the display unit, and

a character action processing unit for causing a video game character object displayed by the character display processing unit to take a predetermined action with reproduction of video game play by the reproduction processing unit,

wherein the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take a predetermined action with predetermined timing in reproduction of video game play.

2. The information processing system according to claim 1, wherein

the storage unit of the server machine stores relevant information, which is relevant to the reproduction data,

the data transmitting unit of the server machine transmits the relevant information together with the reproduction data,

the data receiving unit of the information processing device receives the relevant information together with the reproduction data, and

the character action processing unit of the information processing device causes a video game character object to take an action on the basis of relevant information received by the data receiving unit.

3. The information processing system according to claim 2, wherein

the information processing device has:

a relevant information accepting unit for accepting input of the relevant information; and

a post transmitting unit for transmitting relevant information accepted by the relevant information accepting unit to the server machine,

the server machine has a post receiving unit for receiving the relevant information from the information processing device, and

the storage unit of the server machine stores relevant information received by the post receiving unit in association with the reproduction data.

4. The information processing system according to claim 2, wherein

the relevant information includes a comment concerning the video game play, and

the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take an action of issuing the comment.

5. The information processing system according to claim 2, wherein

the relevant information includes action setting information of the video game character object, and

the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take an action on the basis of the action setting information.

6. The information processing system according to claim 2, wherein

the relevant information includes information involved in display of the video game character object, and

the character display processing unit displays the video game character object corresponding to the information.

7. The information processing system according to claim 2, wherein

the relevant information includes timing information for causing the video game character object to take an action, and

the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take a predetermined action with timing corresponding to the timing information.

The information processing system according to claim 7, wherein the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take the predetermined action with the predetermined timing in reproduction of video game play when the relevant information does not include the timing information.

12. The information processing system according to claim 1, wherein

the reproduction processing unit is configured to display the reproduction of video game play at a first display area of the display unit;

and

the character display processing unit is configured to display the one or a plurality of video game character objects at a second display area of the display unit during the reproduction of video game play by the reproduction processing unit so that the one or a plurality of video game character objects is displayed at the second display area in addition to and concurrently with the display of the reproduction of the video game play at the first display area, wherein the first display area is different from the second display area.

16. The information processing system according to claim 1, wherein the character action processing unit causes the video game character object to take the predetermined action in accordance with the received user input.

9. A device comprising:

a processing system, comprising a computer processor, the processing system being configured to at least perform;

receipt of user input from an operation unit for providing control of a video game;

a reproduction process for displaying reproduction of video game play at a display;

a character display process for, during reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process, displaying, apart from the reproduction of the video game play, one or a plurality of video game character objects at the display; and

a character action process for causing a video game character object displayed by the character display process to take a predetermined action with reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process,

wherein the character action process causes the video game character object to take a predetermined action with predetermined timing in reproduction of video game play.

13. The information processing device according to claim 9, wherein

the reproduction process is configured to display the reproduction of video game play at a first display area of the display;

and

the character display process is configured to display the one or a plurality of video game character objects at a second display area of the display during the reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process so that the one or a plurality of video game character objects is displayed at the second display area in addition to and concurrently with the display of the reproduction of the video game play at the first display area, wherein the first display area is different from the second display area.

17. The device according to claim 9, wherein the character action process causes the video game character object to take the predetermined action in accordance with the received user input.

10. A non-transitory recording medium recording an information program, capable of causing an information processing device to provide operation comprising:

receiving user input from an operation unit for providing control of a video game;

a reproduction process for displaying reproduction of video game play at a display;

a character display process for, during reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process, displaying, apart from the reproduction of the video game play, one or a plurality of video game character objects at the display; and

a character action process for causing a video game character object displayed by the character display process to take a predetermined action with reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process,

wherein the character action process causes the video game character object to take a predetermined action with predetermined timing in reproduction of video game play.

14. The non-transitory recording medium recording according to claim 10, wherein

the reproduction process is configured to display the reproduction of video game play at a first display area of the display;

and

the character display process is configured to display the one or a plurality of video game character objects at a second display area of the display during the reproduction of video game play by the reproduction process so that the one or a plurality of video game character objects is displayed at the second display area in addition to and concurrently with the display of the reproduction of the video game play at the first display area, wherein the first display area is different from the second display area.

18. The non-transitory recording medium recording according to claim 10, wherein the character action process causes the video game character object to take the predetermined action in accordance with the received user input.

11. An information display method comprising:

receiving user input from an operation unit for providing control of a video game;

displaying reproduction of video game play at a display;

displaying, during reproduction of video game play and apart from the reproduction of video game play, one or a plurality of video game character objects at the display;

causing a video game character object to take a predetermined action with reproduction of video game play, and

causing the video game character object to take a predetermined action with predetermined timing in reproduction of video game play.

15. The information display method according to claim 11, wherein

the reproduction of video game play is displayed at a first display area of the display;

and

the one or a plurality of video game character objects is displayed at a second display area of the display during the reproduction of video game play so that the one or a plurality of video game character objects is displayed at the second display area in addition to and concurrently with the display of the reproduction of the video game play at the first display area, wherein the first display area is different from the second display area.

19. The information display method according to claim 11, further comprising causing the video game character object to take the predetermined action in accordance with the received user input.
