Environmental sensing and communication
First Claim
1. A reader device, comprising:
- a wireless communicator;
a logic circuit coupled to the wireless communicator, wherein the logic circuit is configured to;
receive, via the wireless communicator, environmental data from an assigned leader of a plurality of electronic assemblies, wherein the environmental data was sensed by more than one of the plurality of electronic assemblies, and wherein the environmental data includes assembly identifiers indicating which of the plurality of environmental sensing assemblies sensed particular portions of the environmental data; and
communicate the environmental data to a remote device;
a port for EM communication or physical contact and electrical communication with one of the plurality of electronic assemblies, the port configured to provide power from the reader device to the one of the plurality of electronic assemblies.

Abstract
One apparatus embodiment includes an electronic assembly, equipped to sense one or more changes in an environmental condition. The assembly includes a logic circuit coupled to: one or more environmental sensors, memory that provides data storage, and a wireless communicator. The logic circuit is configured to perform time measurement, perform environmental measurement with the one or more environmental sensors, store time-stamped environmental data in the memory, and communicate with particular other electronic assemblies, equipped to sense one or more changes in an environmental condition, via the wireless communicator. The logic circuit is also coupled to a power source that provides power to at least one of the logic circuit and the wireless communicator.
