1. A system for automatically sensing and spraying plant precursors being distributed at least one of on and within the ground, the system comprising:
- a sensor configured to detect plant precursors dropping through a tube;
a nozzle assembly configured to control the release of a fluid, the nozzle assembly including a valve and a spray nozzle; and
a controller communicatively coupled to the sensor and the nozzle assembly, the controller being configured to regulate a pulse duration of the valve based on a pressure of the fluid supplied to the valve and at least one other operating parameter of the system such that a constant volume of fluid is sprayed onto or adjacent to each plant precursor after each plant precursor is dropped from the tube.
