1. An electrical connector comprising:
- a housing includinga bottom surface,an exterior perimeter side, andan entry region formed as an opening in the exterior perimeter side, the entry region having a first width between a first side of the opening and a second side of the opening; and
a guide channel includinga receptacle pocket that includes a receptacle configured to interface with an electrically conductive element,a first interior wall extending from the first side of the opening to a first side of the receptacle pocket, anda second interior wall extending from the second side of the opening to a second side of the receptacle pocket,the receptacle pocket having a second width between the first side of the receptacle pocket and the second side of the receptacle pocket, the second width being less than the first width,wherein a height of the first and second interior walls increases from the side opening to the receptacle.

A low-profile electrical connector includes a housing having exterior perimeter sides and top and bottom surfaces, where the bottom surface is configured to extend along a user'"'"'s body site and the top surface is spaced above the bottom surface. The connector also includes a side-entry guide channel disposed along the bottom surface. The channel includes an opening along the exterior perimeter side that is configured to receive an electrically conductive element. The channel is also configured to guide the electrically conductive element within the housing. The connector includes a receptacle positioned within the housing and forms an electrically conductive interface with the electrically conductive element.
