1. A system comprising:

  • a plurality of self-powered devices, wherein said self-powered devices are configured to (i) perform instructions, (ii) store scheduling data and (iii) select one of a plurality of modes of operation;

    a plurality of proximity self-powered devices, wherein (A) said proximity self-powered devices are configured to (i) detect a presence and (ii) select one of a plurality of modes of operation and (B) each of said plurality of self-powered devices selects one of said plurality of modes of operation based on (i) said stored scheduling data and (ii) said presence detected by at least one of said plurality of proximity self-powered devices; and

    one or more remote devices configured to determine said scheduling data, wherein (A) said scheduling data comprises one or more activities and (B) said remote device is further configured to (i) determine whether an actual attendance of said activity exceeds a limit based on said presence detected by said proximity self-powered devices and (ii) allocate resources based on said actual attendance.
