Abstract

A method for providing unequal allocation of rights among agents while operating according to fair principles, comprising assigning a hierarchal rank to each agent; providing a synthetic economic value to a first set of agents at the a high level of the hierarchy; allocating portions of the synthetic economic value by the first set of agents to a second set of agents at respectively different hierarchal rank than the first set of agents; and conducting an auction amongst agents using the synthetic economic value as the currency. A method for allocation among agents, comprising assigning a wealth generation function for generating future wealth to each of a plurality of agents, communicating subjective market information between agents, and transferring wealth generated by the secure wealth generation function between agents in consideration of a market transaction. The method may further comprise the step of transferring at least a portion of the wealth generation function between agents.

Claims

1. A wireless network node of a wireless network, comprising:

(a) an antenna system, configured to;

communicate through a communication channel, having a directional radiation pattern with an alterable directional vector having at least a first state and a second state which differ in at least the alterable directional vector and corresponding spatial characteristics, and

(b) an automated controller, configured to;

(i) conduct an automated negotiation with a remote wireless communication device, which employs game theoretic decision-making to self-organize the wireless network, by communications through the antenna system, relating to a conduct of communications which have a first potential interference with respect to the communication channel when the alterable directional vector is in the first state and a second potential interference when the alterable directional vector is in the second state, the first potential interference being different from the second potential interference, to select one of the first state and the second state in dependence on the automated negotiation;

(ii) define the alterable directional vector of the antenna system to selectively assume the directional radiation pattern having selected one of the first state and the second state; and

(iii) control a communication through the communication channel with the alterable directional vector in the assumed directional radiation pattern having the selected one of the first state and the second state.

2. The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the antenna system comprises an antenna array having the alterable directional vector.

3. The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the automated controller is further configured to respond to a quality of service parameter for communications over the communication channel.

The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the automated controller is further configured to determine a communication risk for communication over the communication channel and to selectively control communication over the communication channel in dependence on a relationship of a risk tolerance parameter and the determined communication risk.

The wireless network node according to claim 1, further comprising a geolocation information input configured to receive location information for determining a position of the wireless network node, wherein the defined alterable directional vector further selectively assumes the assumed directional radiation pattern having the one of the first state and the second state based on at least the determined position.

The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the antenna system is further configured to communicate through a second communication channel with the remote wireless communication device, the second communication channel differing from the communication channel based on at least one of a radio frequency modulation pattern, and a frequency band of operation.

7. The wireless network node according to claim 6, wherein the second communication channel has a respectively longer effective communication range and lower data communication bandwidth than the communication channel.

The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the automated controller is further configured to control communications over the communication channel through a wireless mesh network using a multihop mesh network communication protocol, and wherein the antenna system assumes a first directional vector for receipt of a transmission comprising a data packet and a second directional vector for transmission of the data packet.

9. The wireless network node according to claim 1, wherein the automated controller is further configured to:

estimate a configuration of at least a portion of a wireless communication network comprising the wireless network node, and a plurality of remote wireless communication devices; and

control the communication through the communication channel in dependence on the estimated configuration of the at least a portion of the wireless communication network, and a risk tolerance parameter for a risk of deviation of the estimated configuration of the at least a portion of the wireless network from an actual configuration of the at least a portion of the wireless network.

10. A method of communicating through a wireless network, comprising:

(a) providing a mobile antenna system supporting communications through a communication channel associated with a directional antenna pattern with a useful aperture having an alterable directional vector,

(b) automatically determining a location of the mobile antenna system;

(c) automatically conducting a negotiation by an automated controller, with at least one remote wireless communication device through the antenna system, relating to communications which have a first potential location-dependent interference with respect to the communication channel when the alterable directional vector is in a first state and a second location-dependent potential interference when the alterable directional vector is in the second state, the first location-dependent potential interference in the first state at the determined location being different from the second location-dependent potential interference in the second state at the determined location, to select one of the first state and the second state in dependence on the negotiation and the determined location, wherein said negotiation is conducted by an automated autonomous control which employs game theoretic decision-making to self-organize the wireless network;

(d) automatically altering the alterable directional vector of the antenna system to selectively assume the selected one of the first state and the second state, based on at least the negotiation; and

(e) automatically communicating through the antenna system over the communication channel with the alterable directional vector in the selected one of the first state and the second state, at the determined location.

11. The method according to claim 10, wherein the communication through the communication channel is with another mobile node of the wireless network, and the communications through the communication channel employ an electronically controllable antenna array of the antenna system.

12. The method according to claim 10, wherein said game theoretic decision-making proceeds without a transfer of value.

13. The method according to claim 10, wherein at least one of said automatically conducting a negotiation and automatically altering the alterable directional vector is responsive to (i) impairments of the communication channel, and (ii) at least one cost function.

The method according to claim 10, wherein said automatically conducting a negotiation is controlled by an automated self-interested agent in accordance with a synthetic economy isolated from external macroeconomic influences, wherein the negotiation comprises at least one transfer of value in accordance with the synthetic economy.

15. The method according to claim 10, wherein said automatically conducted negotiation comprises an automated auction to resolve competition of at least two wireless mobile network nodes for potentially interfering communications through the communication channel.

16. The method according to claim 10, further comprising automatically controlling communication over the communication channel in dependence on a relationship of a risk tolerance parameter and a risk of communication impairment.

The method according to claim 10, wherein the communication channel communicates according to a multihop mesh network communication protocol, the protocol routing communications in dependence on at least an estimate of a state of the wireless mesh network and a risk tolerance parameter for a risk of deviation of the wireless mesh network from the estimate of the state of the wireless mesh network.

The method according to claim 10, further comprising determining a directional pattern of the antenna, receiving information defining respective positions of the at least one remote wireless mobile communication device through the antenna system, and defining the alterable directional vector further in dependence on at least the determined location of the antenna system and the determined position of at least one of the at least one remote wireless mobile communication device.

19. A wireless network device for operation in a wireless network, comprising:

(a) an antenna system, configured to transduce radio frequency waves, the antenna system having an alterable directional radiation pattern having a first state associated with a first directional vector and a different second state associated with a second directional vector; and

(b) an automated controller comprising a cooperative agent which operates according to a strategy, configured to;

(i) establish a communication with at least one other remote wireless communication device, having a respective cooperative agent which operates according to a respective strategy, through the antenna system;

(ii) conduct a negotiation employing game theoretic decision-making with the respective cooperative agent of the at least one other remote wireless communication device, to define the alterable directional radiation pattern to a selected one of the first state and the second state to self-organize the wireless network, wherein the negotiation is conducted with respect to at least a potential interference with or by the transduced radio frequency waves, with respect to communications of the at least one other remote wireless communication device, the negotiation seeking to increase a strategic value of the cooperative agent;

(iii) controlling the antenna system to assume the selected one of the first state and the second state; and

(iv) communicating information through the antenna system.

20. The wireless network device according to claim 19, wherein the automated controller is further configured to transfer at least one token having strategic value with the at least one other remote wireless communication device as a result of the negotiation, in exchange for assuming the selected one of the first state and the second state.
