1. A method for identifying plugins for a web-based application, comprising:
- receiving, using a hardware processor, from a browser application on a client device, a request for a plurality of plugins supported by the website, wherein the request includes identifying information corresponding to the website and an identity of the browser application;
identifying, using the hardware processor, the plurality of plugins supported by the website based on the identifying information corresponding to the website and the identity of the browser application;
transmitting, using the hardware processor to the client device, indications of the plurality of plugins, wherein the indications include a description of each plugin; and
causing, using the hardware processor, a user interface that includes the indications of the plurality of plugins to be presented by the browser application on the client device.
