1. A method for transferring by an initiator Near Field Communication (NFC) device, power to a target NFC device, the method comprising:

  • switching, if an external radio frequency (RF) field is not detected within a predetermined time, an operation mode of the initiator NFC device to an active NFC mode for activating the target NFC device;

    transmitting, if a request for transferring power is received from the target NFC device, a command including information on a device verification time interval to the target NFC device;

    transferring, if a response to the command is received from the target NFC device, at least a portion of power in the initiator NFC device to the target NFC device; and

    verifying the target NFC device at the device verification time interval during the transferring of the at least the portion of the power to the target NFC device,wherein the initiator NFC device transfers power by modifying one or more of a digital protocol, a Logical Link Control Protocol (LLCP), and an application flow control of the initiator NFC device.
