An adapter assembly for selectively interconnecting a surgical end effector and a surgical device that is configured to actuate the end effector, the end effector including an axially translatable drive member, and the surgical device including a rotatable drive shaft, the adapter assembly comprising:
- a housing configured to connect to the surgical device and to operatively couple to the rotatable drive shaft of the surgical device;
an inner housing tube supported by the housing and defining an internal cavity, the inner housing tube having an outer surface including a heat dissipation feature formed therein; and
a drive converter assembly at least partially disposed within the internal cavity of the inner housing tube, the drive converter assembly interconnecting the rotatable drive shaft of the surgical device and the axially translatable drive member of the end effector.
