Abstract

A child seat includes a seat shell, a retractor assembly including a movable member connected with the seat shell, an anchor strap portion and an adjustment strap respectively connected with the movable member, and a lock assembled with the seat shell. The anchor strap portion extends outward from the seat shell, and is provided with a fastener operable to attach with an anchor structure of a vehicle. The adjustment strap has a first end portion connected with the movable member and a second end portion extending outside the seat shell, and extends through the lock at a location between the first and second end portions. The movable member is movable in a first direction to pull the anchor strap portion for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell, and in an opposite second direction to pull the adjustment strap for reducing a length thereof outside the seat shell.

Claims

1. A child seat comprising:

a seat shell;

a retractor assembly including a movable member connected with the seat shell;

an anchor strap portion extending outward from a rear of the seat shell and provided with a fastener operable to attach with an anchor structure of a vehicle, the anchor strap portion being connected with the movable member;

an adjustment strap having a first and a second end portion, the first end portion being connected with the movable member, and the second end portion extending outside the seat shell; and

a lock assembled with the seat shell, the adjustment strap extending through the lock at a location between the first and second end portions, the lock having a locking state that blocks sliding of the adjustment strap through the lock, and an unlocking state allowing sliding of the adjustment strap through the lock;

wherein the movable member is movable in a first direction and a second direction opposite to each other, a movement of the movable member in the first direction pulling the anchor strap portion for reducing a length of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell, and a movement of the movable member in the second direction pulling the adjustment strap for reducing a length of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell; and

wherein a sliding displacement of the adjustment strap through the lock for extending more of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell causes the movable member to move in the first direction and thereby reduces the length of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell, and a movement of the anchor strap portion for extending more of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell causes the movable member to move in the second direction and thereby reduces the length of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell.

2. The child seat according to claim 1, wherein the movable member is a rotary member pivotally connected with the seat shell.

3. The child seat according to claim 2, wherein the rotary member is pivotally connected with the seat shell about a pivot axis that extends along a vertical direction relative to the seat shell.

4. The child seat according to claim 2, wherein the rotary member is rotatable to at least partially wind and unwind the anchor strap portion and the adjustment strap.

5. The child seat according to claim 2, wherein the rotary member is a lever having an eccentric post, the anchor strap portion wrapping at least partially about the post when a pulling action is applied on the adjustment strap.

6. The child seat according to claim 2, wherein the rotary member is a lever having a first and a second end opposite to each other, the first and second ends being respectively attached with the anchor strap portion and the adjustment strap.

7. The child seat according to claim 1, wherein the seat shell has a guiding structure transversally spaced apart from the movable member, and the anchor strap portion turns about the guiding structure.

8. The child seat according to claim 1, wherein the lock is disposed near a front or a side of the seat shell.

9. The child seat according to claim 1, wherein the lock includes a base affixed with the seat shell, and a clamping part connected with the base, the adjustment strap extending between the base and the clamping part.

10. A child seat comprising:

a seat shell;

a retractor assembly including a rotary member pivotally connected with the seat shell;

an anchor strap portion extending outward from a rear of the seat shell and provided with a fastener operable to attach with an anchor structure of a vehicle, the anchor strap portion being connected with the rotary member;

an adjustment strap having a first and a second end portion, the first end portion being connected with the rotary member, and the second end portion extending outside the seat shell; and

a lock assembled with the seat shell, the adjustment strap extending through the lock at a location between the first and second end portions, the lock having a locking state that blocks sliding of the adjustment strap through the lock, and an unlocking state allowing sliding of the adjustment strap through the lock;

wherein the rotary member is rotatable in a first direction and a second direction opposite to each other, a rotation of the rotary member in the first direction pulling the anchor strap portion for reducing a length of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell, and a rotation of the rotary member in the second direction pulling the adjustment strap for reducing a length of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell; and

wherein a sliding displacement of the adjustment strap through the lock for extending more of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell causes the rotary member to move in the first direction and thereby reduces the length of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell, and a movement of the anchor strap portion for extending more of the anchor strap portion outside the seat shell causes the rotary member to move in the second direction and thereby reduces the length of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell.

The child seat according to claim 10, wherein a sliding displacement of the adjustment strap through the lock for extending more of the adjustment strap outside the seat shell causes the rotary member to move in the first direction so that the anchor strap portion winds at least partially on the rotary member.

12. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the rotary member is pivotally connected with the seat shell about a pivot axis that extends along a vertical direction relative to the seat shell.

13. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the rotary member is rotatable to at least partially wind and unwind the anchor strap portion and the adjustment strap.

14. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the rotary member is a lever having an eccentric post, the anchor strap portion wrapping at least partially about the post when a pulling action is applied on the adjustment strap.

15. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the rotary member is a lever having a first and a second end opposite to each other, the first and second ends being respectively attached with the anchor strap portion and the adjustment strap.

16. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the seat shell has a guiding structure transversally spaced apart from the rotary member, and the anchor strap portion turns about the guiding structure.

17. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the lock is disposed near a front or a side of the seat shell.

18. The child seat according to claim 10, wherein the lock includes a base affixed with the seat shell, and a clamping part connected with the base, the adjustment strap extending between the base and the clamping part.
