1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:

  • a substrate;

    a common electrode over the substrate;

    a wiring electrically connected to the common electrode;

    a first conductive film on and in contact with the wiring;

    a first insulating film over the common electrode, the wiring, and the first conductive film;

    a pixel electrode on and in contact with the first insulating film;

    a second conductive film on and in contact with the common electrode, the first conductive film, and the first insulating film;

    an alignment film over the pixel electrode and the second conductive film;

    a liquid crystal over the alignment film;

    a transistor electrically connected to the pixel electrode;

    a gate wiring electrically connected to the transistor; and

    a source wiring electrically connected to the transistor,wherein the common electrode overlaps the gate wiring, the wiring, a semiconductor film of the transistor, the source wiring, and the pixel electrode,wherein the pixel electrode comprise a plurality of openings,wherein the first insulating film is provided over the transistor,wherein each of the common electrode, the pixel electrode, and the second conductive film is a light-transmitting conductive film,wherein the wiring is electrically connected to the common electrode through the first conductive film and the second conductive film, andwherein an orientation of the liquid crystal is controlled by an electric field between the common electrode and the pixel electrode.
