1. A method comprising:

  • processing a first set of one or more transmissions received via a network by a server system, the first set of one or more transmissions corresponding to first user selection of a first user interface element presented via an end-user device;

    based at least in part on the processing the set of one or more transmissions, accessing by server system a data store to identify a first listing stored in the data store, the first listing comprising geographic location information and the first listing corresponding to one or both of a first business and a first event;

    transmitting by the server system first listing content via the network to the end-user device to facilitate presentation of the first listing content with a second user interface element, the first listing content comprising first information from the first listing;

    processing a second set of one or more transmissions received via the network by the server system, the second set of one or more transmissions corresponding to second user selection of the second user interface element presented via the end-user device;

    responsive to the second set of one or more transmissions, adding by the server system to an event plan a first reference to the first listing to represent a first location of the event plan, and specifying a first time period associated with the first location represented by the first reference to the first listing, wherein (1) the first reference implicitly specifies the first location of the event plan via association with the first listing, (2) the first location is a geographic location, and (3) the first listing comprises the first location;

    processing a third set of one or more transmissions received via the network by the server system, the third set of one or more transmissions corresponding to third user selection of a third user interface element presented via the end-user device, the third user interface element corresponding to an option to search near the first location of the event plan;

    responsive to the processing the third set of one or more transmissions, identifying by the server system a second listing comprising second geographic location information, the second listing corresponding to one or both of a second business and a second event having a second location near the first location of the event plan;

    transmitting by the server system second listing content via the network to the end-user device to facilitate presentation of the second listing content, the second listing content comprising second information from the second listing;

    processing a fourth set of one or more transmissions received via the network by the server system, the fourth set of one or more transmissions corresponding to fourth user selection of an option to add to the event plan a second reference to the second listing to represent the second location of the event plan; and

    responsive to the processing the fourth set of one or more transmissions, adding by the server system to the event plan the second reference to the second listing to represent the second location of the event plan and associating a second time period with the second location represented by the second reference to the second listing, the second time period being adjacent in time to the first time period, wherein (1) the second reference implicitly specifies the second location of the event plan via association with the second listing, (2) the second location is a geographic location, and (3) the second listing comprises the second location.
