1. A non-transitory processor-readable medium storing code representing instructions to be executed by a processor, the code comprising code to cause the processor to:
- receive, at a topic extraction module (1) implemented in at least one of a memory or a processing device, and (2) operably coupled to an Internet, a signal representing a plurality of content published within the Internet, hosted by servers operably coupled to the Internet, and retrieved by a spider engine;
identify, at a first time and at the topic extraction module, a first instance of content (1) from the plurality of content, (2) authored by a party from a plurality of parties, (3) published within the Internet by a first publisher, and (4) associated with a predetermined topic;
identify, at a second time after the first time and at the topic extraction module, a second instance of the content published within the Internet by a second publisher different than the first publisher;
quantify an intent score associated with the party and the predetermined topic based on a quantity of publishers used to publish the content within the Internet authored by the party, the quantity of publishers including the first publisher and the second publisher; and
send, to a compute device operably coupled to the Internet, a signal representing the intent score such that an action is taken within the Internet based on the intent score.
