1. An inserter apparatus, comprising:
- a main body defining a proximal end, a distal end and a longitudinal axis;
a trocar assembly, located at least partially within the main body and movable relative to the main body, includinga first trocar assembly member movable relative to the main body in a first direction from a storage position to a fired position,a second trocar assembly member operably connected to the first trocar assembly member such that the second trocar assembly member is movable with the first trocar assembly member in the first direction from the storage position to the fired position and the second trocar assembly member is also movable relative to the first trocar assembly member in a second direction, opposite the first direction, from the fired position to a withdrawn position,a first lock apparatus having a locked state that prevents movement of the first and second trocar assembly members relative to one another and an unlocked state that permits movement of the first and second trocar assembly members relative to one another,a first force member, that has a first end that applies force to the first trocar assembly member and a second end that applies force to the second trocar assembly member, that stores potential energy when the first and second trocar assembly members are in the storage position and that drives the second trocar assembly member in the second direction with the stored potential energy when the first lock apparatus is in the unlocked state, anda trocar carried by the second trocar assembly member;
a second force member, operably connected to the main body and to the trocar assembly, that applies a force in the first direction to the first trocar assembly member;
a second lock apparatus having a locked state that prevents movement of the trocar assembly relative to the main body and an unlocked state that permits movement of the trocar assembly relative to the main body; and
an actuator carried by the main body and rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the main body from a first position, that prevents the second lock apparatus from being in the unlocked state, to a second position that allows the second lock apparatus to be in the unlocked state.

a main body defining a proximal end, a distal end and a longitudinal axis; a trocar assembly, located at least partially within the main body and movable relative to the main body, including a first trocar assembly member movable relative to the main body in a first direction from a storage position to a fired position, a second trocar assembly member operably connected to the first trocar assembly member such that the second trocar assembly member is movable with the first trocar assembly member in the first direction from the storage position to the fired position and the second trocar assembly member is also movable relative to the first trocar assembly member in a second direction, opposite the first direction, from the fired position to a withdrawn position, a first spring, operably connected to the first and second trocar assembly members, that is maintained in a compressed state as the first and second trocar assemblies move from the storage position to the fired position, a first lock apparatus having a locked state that prevents movement of the first and second trocar assembly members relative to one another and an unlocked state that permits movement of the first and second trocar assembly members relative to one another, and a trocar carried by the second trocar assembly member; a second spring, operably connected to the main body and to the trocar assembly, that applies a force in the first direction to the first trocar assembly member; a second lock apparatus having a locked state that prevents movement of the trocar assembly relative to the main body relative and an unlocked state that permits movement of the trocar assembly relative to the main body; and an actuator carried by the main body and rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the main body from a first position, that prevents the second lock apparatus from being in the unlocked state, to a second position that allows the second lock apparatus to be in the unlocked state. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
