1. A system, comprising:

  • a first amplifier operable to receive a first signal;

    a second amplifier operable to receive a second signal;

    a matrix switch coupled to the first amplifier and the second amplifier;

    a frequency converter coupled to the matrix switch, the frequency converter being operable to output a plurality of frequency converted signals; and

    a combiner coupled to the frequency converter, the combiner being operable to combine the plurality of frequency converted signals to produce a frequency stacked IF output, wherein;

    the matrix switch comprises;

    a plurality of input ports;

    an output port;

    an internal termination;

    a first switch component having first variable impedance coupled between the input port and the internal termination; and

    a second switch component having second variable impedance coupled between the input port and the output port;

    the matrix switch is operable to control the impedance of both the first switch component and the second switch component; and

    a switch control circuit operable to generate a time varying control signal having a controllable rate of change, wherein the time varying control signal is used to control the impedance of both the first switch component and the second switch component.
