1. A wireless communication device that is configured to transmit transmits a data packet including a packet number to an other communication party, the wireless communication device comprising:
- a battery;
a first storage to which power is supplied from the battery and in which the packet number is stored;
a second storage in which a frequency that is used for communication with the other communication party is stored;
an event detector to which the power is supplied from the battery and that detects an occurrence of an event;
a controller;
a wireless communicator that performs transmission and reception of the data packet between the wireless communication device and the other communication party, under the control of the controller; and
a connection controller that supplies power of the battery to the second storage, the controller, and the wireless communicator, and that cuts off the supply of the power to the second storage, the controller, and the wireless communicator according to an instruction of the controller, in a case where the battery is newly mounted, or in a case where the event detector detects the occurrence of the event,wherein, in a case where the event detector detects the occurrence of the event, the controller generates a data packet including a wireless link establishment request, a message notifying the occurrence of the event, and the packet number that is stored in the first storage, transmits the generated data packet from the wireless communicator to the other communication party at the frequency that is stored in the second storage, updates the packet number that is stored in the first storage when a delivery acknowledgement is received from the other communication party, and gives an instruction to cut off the supply of the power to the connection controller,wherein, in a case where the battery is newly mounted, the controller attempts to establish synchronization between the wireless communication device and the other communication party, using the frequency that is stored in the second storage, wherein, in a case where the battery is newly mounted and synchronization is not able to be established, the controller attempts to establish synchronization while sequentially changing frequencies, andwherein, in the case where the battery is newly mounted and synchronization is able to be established, the controller rewrites the frequency that is stored in the second storage, as a value that results when the synchronization is established, rewrites the packet number that is stored in the first storage, as an initial value that is determined in advance, and gives the instruction to cut off the supply of the power to the connection controller.

Abstract
A wireless communication device for packet communication is provided. When a battery is mounted, a control signal for obtaining information necessary for packet communication is received, and the information is stored in a first communication information storage unit, along with a reception frequency of the control signal. In a waiting state, main components for wireless communication are powered off. The main components for the wireless communication are powered on at the time of sensor detection. The packet communication is performed using the information in the first communication information storage unit.

3. A wireless communication method using a wireless communication device that is configured to transmit a data packet including a packet number to an other communication party, the wireless communication device including
a battery; -
a first storage to which power is supplied from the battery and in which the packet number is stored; a second storage in which a frequency that is used for communication with the other communication party is stored; an event detector to which the power is supplied from the battery and that detects an occurrence of an event; and a controller, the wireless communication method comprising; performing transmission and reception of the data packet between the wireless communication device and the other communication party by a wireless communicator, under the control of the controller; and supplying power, by the connection controller, of the battery to the second storage, the controller, and the wireless communicator, and cutting off the supply of the power to the second storage, the controller, and the wireless communicator according to an instruction of the controller, in a case where the battery is newly mounted, or in a case where the event detector detects the occurrence of the event, wherein, in a case where the event detector detects the occurrence of the event, a data packet including a wireless link establishment request, a message notifying the occurrence of the event, and the packet number that is stored in the first storage is generated, the generated data packet is transmitted from the wireless communicator to the other communication party at the frequency that is stored in the second storage, the packet number that is stored in the first storage is updated when a delivery acknowledgement is received from the other communication party, and an instruction to cut off the supply of the power to the connection controller is given, wherein, in a case where the battery is newly mounted, establishing synchronization between the wireless communication device and the other communication party is attempted, using the frequency that is stored in the second storage, wherein, in a case where the battery is newly mounted and synchronization is not able to be established, establishing synchronization while sequentially changing frequencies is attempted, and wherein, in the case where the battery is newly mounted and synchronization is able to be established, the frequency that is stored in the second storage is rewritten, as a value that results when the synchronization is established, the packet number that is stored in the first storage is rewritten as an initial value that is determined in advance, and gives the instruction to cut off the supply of the power to the connection controller. - View Dependent Claims (4)
