1. A shock absorber comprising:
- a suspension spring;
a tube having a lower end portion joined to a vehicle axle side portion provided with a tire;
a lower spring bearing that is provided on an outer circumference of the tube and supports a lower end of the suspension spring; and
a plate member provided on the outer circumference of the tube above the lower spring bearing, the plate member having an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the tube,wherein the plate member is provided on a surface on the outer circumference of the tube at a side facing away from the tire,wherein the lower spring bearing is arranged lower than an upper end portion of the tire in an axial direction of the tube, andwherein a length from an outer circumferential surface of the plate member to an inner periphery of the suspension spring facing the outer circumferential surface of the plate member in the radial direction of tube is shorter than a length from an outer periphery of the suspension spring facing the tire to the tire in the radial direction of the tube.
