Abstract

Systems and methods related to gaming based on the results at intervals of a race.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising:

a network interface;

a memory;

at least one processor to;

generate in the memory a matrix such that each column of the matrix indicates an intermediate point of race participants during a race;

receive, from a remote sensor via the network interface, data indicating a current position of a race participant at a current intermediate point;

insert the current position in a corresponding position in the matrix stored in the memory; and

identify whether a bet associated with the race participant is stored in the memory; and

in response to determining that the bet is stored in the memory, identify whether the bet is a winning bet based at least partially on the updated matrix stored in the memory.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one processor determines that the bet is the winning bet, in response to the bet matching the current position of the race participant at the current intermediate point.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one processor determines that the bet is a winning bet, in response to the bet matching at least one entry in the matrix stored in the memory.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the at least one processor determines that the bet is a winning bet, in response to the bet matching consecutively aligned entries in the matrix stored in the memory.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein each row of the matrix corresponds to a given race participant.

6. The apparatus of claim 1, further comprising detecting receipt of a plurality of bets associated with the race participants via the network interface.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein each bet comprises a plurality of bet parameters.

8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein the at least one processor is further configured to generate a customized matrix in the memory based at least partially on the plurality of bet parameters.

9. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the at least one processor is further configured to transmit the customized matrix to an interface.

10. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the at least one processor is further configured to transmit the customized matrix to a printing device.

16. The method of claim 1, further comprising detecting, by the at least one processor, receipt of a plurality of bets associated with the race participants via a network interface.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein each bet comprises a plurality of bet parameters.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising generating, by the at least one processor, a customized matrix in the memory based at least partially on the plurality of bet parameters.

19. The method of claim 18, further comprising transmitting, by the at least one processor, the customized matrix to an interface.

20. The method of claim 18, further comprising transmitting, by the at least one processor, the customized matrix to a printing device.

11. A method comprising:

generating, by at least one processor, in a memory a matrix such that each column of the matrix indicates an intermediate point of race participants during a race;

receiving, by the at least one processor from a remote sensor, data indicating a current position of a race participant at a current intermediate point;

inserting, by the at least one processor, the current position in a corresponding position in the matrix stored in the memory; and

identifying, by the at least one processor, whether a bet associated with the race participant is stored in the memory; and

in response to determining that the bet is stored in the memory, identifying, by the at least one processor, whether the bet is a winning bet based at least partially on the updated matrix stored in the memory.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising determining, by the at least one processor, that the bet is the winning bet, in response to the bet matching the current position of the race participant at the current intermediate point.

13. The method of claim 11, further comprising determining, by the at least one processor, that the bet is a winning bet, in response to the bet matching at least one entry in the matrix stored in the memory.

14. The method of claim 11, further comprising determining, by the at least one processor, that the bet is a winning bet, in response to the bet matching consecutively aligned entries in the matrix stored in the memory.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein each row of the matrix corresponds to a given race participant.
