1. A device, comprising:

  • a housing having a key-fob-sized form factor;

    electrical circuitry implemented inside the housing, the electrical circuitry including a control module storing instructions and a communication module configured to conduct wireless communications with an implantable pulse generator in response to the instructions received from the control module wherein the implantable pulse generator is configured to generate an electrical stimulation therapy;

    a user display implemented on the housing, the user display being controlled by the control module to simultaneously display a plurality of statuses of the implantable pulse generator;

    a plurality of buttons implemented on the housing, the plurality of buttons being configured to send the instructions, via the communication module, to the implantable pulse generator to control the implantable pulse generator, the device controlling a plurality of implantable pulse generator functions consisting of;

    turning the electrical stimulation therapy on and off, activating only a subset, but not all, of a plurality of stimulation programs that are stored on the implantable pulse generator, and adjusting an amplitude of a currently-activated stimulation program; and

    an on/off switch located on the housing, the on/off switch being configured to adjustably turn the device on or off.
