1. A device having an input port and a plurality of output ports comprising:
- a reverse polarity protector arranged to be electrically connected to the input port and each of the plurality of output ports; and
a plurality of open circuit protection circuits, each of the plurality of open circuit protection circuits operable to connect to an output port;
wherein the reverse polarity protector is operable to negate the polarity requirement in the event where a load is connected with a wrong polarity to any of the output ports; and
the open circuit protection circuit is operable to form a closed loop series connection in the event where no load is connected to an output port or when a load breaks down.
