1. A wireless power receiver for preventing excessive temperature caused by charging, the wireless power receiver comprising:

  • a power receiver configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmitter;

    a temperature measurement unit configured to measure a temperature of a point in the wireless power receiver during reception of the wireless power; and

    a controller configured to;

    control a charging power to be provided to a battery of the wireless power receiver,maintain the charging power to be provided to the battery, if the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit is lower than a preset temperature,decrease a magnitude of the charging power, if a temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit is greater than or equal to the a preset temperature,andstop providing the charging power to the battery, if the temperature measured by the temperature measurement unit is greater than or equal to an over temperature protection (OTP) temperature,wherein the preset temperature is lower than the OTP temperature.
