1. A respiratory mask system for delivery of respiratory therapy to a patient, the respiratory mask system comprising:
- a mask having a frame and a cushion, the frame including a forehead support, a forehead support pad attached to the forehead support, and a joining portion that connects the forehead support to the frame; and
a cushion pad comprising;
at least one forehead support pad cover shaped and dimensioned to cover at least a portion of the forehead support pad;
an attachment portion comprising a ring, said ring structured to receive the forehead support or the joining portion to directly attach the cushion pad to the forehead support or to the joining portion such that the cushion pad and the mask can be applied to and removed from the patient'"'"'s face as a unit, the attachment portion extending from the at least one forehead support pad cover; and
a main body portion having a central portion shaped to cover a portion of the patient'"'"'s nose extending from above the nose tip to the nasal bridge region without obstructing the patient'"'"'s line of sight, and the main body portion having two lateral side portions extending downward from the central portion and terminating along the sides of the nose or on the patient'"'"'s cheeks at distal ends in use,wherein the cushion pad comprises a breathable material, andwherein a first side of the main body portion is configured to contact skin of the patient, a second side, opposite the first side, is configured to contact the cushion provided to the mask.
