1. A method for providing user interaction in an intelligent television, the method comprising:
- receiving, by a processor of the intelligent television, a first selection associated with content in the intelligent television;
in response to the first selection, presenting a first user interface associated with the first selection, wherein the first user interface is associated with a first series of two or more user interfaces, arranged in a hierarchy, that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the first user interface is on a first level of the hierarchy;
receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a second selection associated with content in the intelligent television;
in response to the second selection, presenting a second user interface associated with the second selection, wherein the second user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the second user interface is on a second level of the hierarchy and is a child to the first user interface;
receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a third selection associated with content in the intelligent television;
in response to the third selection, presenting a third user interface associated with the third selection, and wherein the third user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the third user interface is on a third level of the hierarchy and is a child to the second user interface;
receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a fourth selection associated with content in the intelligent television;
in response to the fourth selection, presenting a fourth user interface associated with the fourth selection, wherein the fourth user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the fourth user interface is on a fourth level of the hierarchy and is a child to the third user interface;
receiving a first back selection, on a back button of a device in wireless communication with the intelligent television, to reverse a navigation through the information about the content;
in response to receiving the first back selection, presenting the third user interface;
receiving a second back selection, on the back button, to continue the reverse navigation through the information about the content;
in response to receiving the second back selection, presenting a fifth user interface, wherein the fifth user interface is in a second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content but not in the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, and wherein the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces is different from the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, and wherein navigation back through the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces presents at least one different user interface from the navigation through the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, wherein the fifth user interface is a child of the first user interface;
receiving at least a third back selection, on the back button, to continue the navigation through the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces; and
in response to receiving at least the third back selection, presenting the first user interface.

The user interfaces include unique visual representations and organizations that allow the user to utilize the intelligent television more easily and more effectively. Particularly, the user interfaces pertain to the display of media content, electronic programming guide information, television content, and other content. Further, the user interfaces provide unique process of transitioning between the content.

receiving, by a processor of the intelligent television, a first selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the first selection, presenting a first user interface associated with the first selection, wherein the first user interface is associated with a first series of two or more user interfaces, arranged in a hierarchy, that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the first user interface is on a first level of the hierarchy; receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a second selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the second selection, presenting a second user interface associated with the second selection, wherein the second user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the second user interface is on a second level of the hierarchy and is a child to the first user interface; receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a third selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the third selection, presenting a third user interface associated with the third selection, and wherein the third user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the third user interface is on a third level of the hierarchy and is a child to the second user interface; receiving, by the processor of the intelligent television, a fourth selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the fourth selection, presenting a fourth user interface associated with the fourth selection, wherein the fourth user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, and wherein the fourth user interface is on a fourth level of the hierarchy and is a child to the third user interface; receiving a first back selection, on a back button of a device in wireless communication with the intelligent television, to reverse a navigation through the information about the content; in response to receiving the first back selection, presenting the third user interface; receiving a second back selection, on the back button, to continue the reverse navigation through the information about the content; in response to receiving the second back selection, presenting a fifth user interface, wherein the fifth user interface is in a second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content but not in the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, and wherein the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces is different from the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, and wherein navigation back through the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces presents at least one different user interface from the navigation through the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, wherein the fifth user interface is a child of the first user interface; receiving at least a third back selection, on the back button, to continue the navigation through the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces; and in response to receiving at least the third back selection, presenting the first user interface. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)

a memory operable to store social media data; and a processor in communication with the memory, the processor operable to; execute a user interface application, the user interface application operable to; receive, by a processor of the intelligent television, a first selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the first selection, present a first user interface associated with the content, wherein the first user interface is associated with a first series of user interfaces, arranged in a hierarchy, and wherein the first user interface is on a first level of the hierarchy; receive a second selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the second selection, present a second user interface associated with the second selection, wherein the second user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, wherein the second user interface is on a second level of the hierarchy and is a child to the first user interface; receive a third selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the third selection, present a third user interface associated with the third selection, wherein the third user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, wherein the third user interface is on a third level of the hierarchy and is a child to the second user interface; receive a fourth selection associated with content in the intelligent television; in response to the fourth selection, present a fourth user interface associated with the fourth selection, wherein the fourth user interface is also associated with the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces that navigate through information about the content, wherein the fourth user interface is on a fourth level of the hierarchy and is a child to the third user interface; receive a first back selection, on a back button of a device in wireless communication with the intelligent television, to reverse a navigation; in response to receiving the first back selection, present the third user interface; receive a second back selection, on the back button, to continue the reverse navigation through the information about the content; in response to receiving the second back selection, present a fifth user interface, wherein the fifth user interface is in a second series of user interfaces but not in the first series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces, and wherein the first series of user interfaces is different from the second series of user interfaces, wherein navigation back through the second series of user interfaces presents at least one different user interface from the navigation through the first series of user interfaces, wherein navigation back through the second series of user interfaces presents at least two of the same user interfaces as the navigation through the first series of user interfaces, and wherein the fifth user interface is a child of the first user interface; receive at least a third back selection, on the back button, to continue the navigation through the second series of two or more hierarchically arranged user interfaces; and in response to receiving at least the third back selection, present the first user interface. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15)
