1. A method of analyzing wireless device application data comprising:

  • receiving via a communications network, by an analytic server, one or more data reports from one or more wireless device application providers that provide wireless device applications to patients, each data report comprising an anonymized patient identifier that identifies a patient associated with the data report, and a wireless device application identifier that identifies the wireless device application discussed by the data report, wherein the wireless device application has been prescribed by a healthcare professional to aid in the treatment of one or more medical conditions of the patient and wherein the wireless device application is configured to track physiologic parameters of the patient;

    decoding, by the analytic server, the one or more data reports to retrieve, for a given data report, the anonymized patient identifier as well as the corresponding wireless device application identifier;

    retrieving via the communications network, by the analytic server, patient population information solely using the decoded anonymized patient identifier associated with each data report, the patient population information comprising electronic medical information associated with a patient population to whom more than one wireless device applications were provided;

    merging data reports to generate data sets based on the retrieved patient population information associated with the patient population to whom a particular wireless device application has been provided, such that each data set is instantaneously generated and only includes data reports associated with the same wireless device application identifier and identified solely through the anonymized patient identifier; and

    analyzing the data sets and the patient population information to determine the impact of each wireless device application from the more than one wireless device applications on managing the treatment of the one of more medical conditions across cohorts of patients without jeopardizing each patient'"'"'s privacy when a first cohort of patients with a given condition who have received a particular wireless device application in addition to a regular treatment is compared to a second cohort of patients with the given condition who have received the regular treatment but without the particular wireless device application to determine an improved adherence to the regular treatment when the regular treatment is combined with the particular wireless device application.
