Abstract

Embodiments of this concept are directed to gaming devices that are configured to initiate multiple gaming events in response to a player input. The gaming device may include game initiating inputs that initiate a predetermined number of gaming events in response to the player input, or the gaming device may include configurable game initiating inputs that initiate a number of gaming events specified by the player, specified the gaming device, or specified by a gaming server. The gaming device or gaming server may set the number of initiated game events in response to the occurrence of a triggering event.

Claims

1. A method of operating a gaming device, the method comprising:

providing game play credits to a player of the gaming device in response to receipt of value from the player via at least one of a currency acceptor, a ticket acceptor, and a coin acceptor;

accepting a wager amount from the game play credits; and

in response to a single player action on the gaming device, for a predetermined number of cycles greater than one;

automatically accepting a separate wager for a game on the gaming device equal to the wager amount,

automatically playing the game on the gaming device,

displaying an outcome of the game for a first predetermined time when the outcome is a winning outcome,

displaying the outcome for a second predetermined time when the outcome is a losing outcome; and

transferring game play credits to at least one of coins and tickets in response to actuation of an actuator by the player.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising in each of the cycles, crediting any winnings from the game to the player.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the cycles end when the game play credits are less than the wager amount for the next cycle.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the cycles pause to allow a player to add additional credits to the game play credits or adjust the wager amount when the game play credits are less than the wager amount for the next cycle.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein before initiating the predetermined number of cycles:

randomly determining gaming event outcomes for each of the games in the predetermined number of cycles; and

rearranging a sequence order of the game outcomes in the predetermined number of cycles with respect to a design criterion.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the design criterion moves at least one winning gaming event outcome to a later order position in the sequence.

7. A gaming device comprising:

a wager acceptor that accepts an indication of an amount to be wagered by a player;

a single base game;

at least one multiple-spin button for accepting from the player an indication of a number of instances of the base game desired to be played in a set, the desired number being a fixed number greater than one;

a game processor configured to automatically operate the number of instances of the base game in the set in sequence by applying at least a portion of the wager on each of the games in the set and automatically displaying an outcome of each game in the set for a first predetermined time when the outcome is a winning outcome and for a second predetermined time when the outcome is a losing outcome; and

at least one of a ticket printer for printing a ticket reflecting credits on the gaming device and a coin return for returning the credits as coins.

8. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the gaming device shows results of the games in the set in a different order than a natural order of the gaming device.

9. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the different order places at least one winning gaming event outcome to a later order position in the sequence.

10. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the game processor is further configured to credit any winning from the game to the player in each of the cycles.

11. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the game processor is further configured to end the predetermined number of cycles when the amount indicated by the wager acceptor is less than the portion of the wager.

12. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the game processor is further configured to automatically adjust the portion of the wager to the amount indicated by the wager acceptor when the amount indicated by the wager acceptor is less than the portion of the wager.

13. The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the game processor is further configured to pause the set to allow a player to add additional credits to the gaming device or adjust the portion of the wager when the amount indicated by the wager acceptor is less than the portion of the wager.

The gaming device of claim 7, wherein the gaming device further includes a game initiation actuator operatively connected to the game processor and wherein the game processor is further configured to automatically operate the number of instances of the base game in the set in sequence responsive to receiving a single player input via the game initiation actuator.

15. A method of operating a gaming device, the method comprising:

providing game play credits to a player of the gaming device in response to receipt of value from the player via at least one of a currency acceptor, a ticket acceptor, and a coin acceptor;

accepting a wager amount from the game play credits;

in response to a single player action on the gaming device, operating a multiple game set having a predetermined number of games including;

initiating a first gaming event;

displaying an outcome of the first gaming event for a first predetermined time when the outcome is a winning outcome,

displaying the outcome of the first gaming event for a second predetermined time when the outcome is a losing event;

automatically initiating a second gamin event on the gaming device,

displaying an outcome of the second gaming event for a first predetermined time when the outcome is a winning outcome,

displaying the outcome of the second gaming event for a second predetermined time when the outcome is a losing outcome, and

automatically initiating subsequent gaming events until the number of games in the multiple game set have been played; and

transferring game play credits to at least one of coins and tickets in response to actuation of an actuator by the player.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the multiple game set ends when the game play credits for the next game are less than the wager amount.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein the wager amount is automatically adjusted to the amount of credits available to a player for wagering on the gaming device when the game play credits for the next game are less than the wager amount.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein the multiple game set pauses for a predetermined amount of time to allow a player to add additional credits to the gaming device or adjust the wager amount when the game play credits for the next game are less than the wager amount.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein before operating the multiple game set:

randomly determining gaming event outcomes for each of the gaming events in the multiple game set; and

rearranging a sequence order of the gaming event outcomes in the multiple game set with respect to a design criterion.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the design criterion moves at least one winning gaming event outcome to a later order position in the sequence.
