1. A method of processing broadcast data in a transmitting system, the method comprising:

  • encoding data in data packets at a first code rate, wherein the data packets include broadcast service data and signaling data for a broadcast service, wherein the broadcast service data include at least video data or audio data, wherein each data packet includes a header and a payload, wherein the header includes stuffing indication information indicating whether stuffing data are included in the data packet, and wherein, when a length of the stuffing data is equal to or more than 3-byte, a length of the stuffing data is indicated by using a length indication field in the data packet;

    block interleaving the encoded data;

    convolutional interleaving the block-interleaved data;

    first encoding transmission parameters in order to add parity data to the transmission parameters, wherein the transmission parameters include encoding information for identifying the first code rate used for encoding the data in the data packets;

    second encoding the first-encoded transmission parameters at a second code rate;

    modulating the convolutional interleaved data and the second-encoded transmission parameters; and

    transmitting a transmission frame including the modulated data and the modulated transmission parameters,wherein the transmission frame comprises multiple sub-frames concatenated in time within the transmission frame,wherein the transmission parameters further include information related to at least one of the multiple sub-frames,wherein the signaling data include first signaling information and second signaling information,wherein the first signaling information includes channel information of the broadcast service, type information of the broadcast service, and status information for indicating whether the broadcast service is hidden, andwherein the second signaling information includes protocol version information and at least video codec information for the video data or audio codec information for the audio data.
