1. A method of post-operatively adjusting a urethral support in treating urinary incontinence of a woman, the method comprising:
- forming an incision in a vagina of the woman;
passing a support through the incision and locating the support under a urethra, where the support is a porous mesh adapted to allow tissue in-growth; and
adjusting the support by applying tension to one of a first member and a second member to adjust a position of a stabilizer that is secured between the first member and a first end of the support, the second member being secured to a second end of the support, where each of the first member and the second member has an end that exits skin of the woman, and where each of the first member and the second member is adapted to prevent tissue in-growth into the first member and the second member.

A method of post-operatively adjusting a urethral support in treating urinary incontinence of a woman is disclosed. The method includes passing a support through an incision and locating the support under a urethra. The support is a porous mesh adapted to allow tissue in-growth. The method include adjusting the support by applying tension to one of a first member that is secured to a first end of the support or a second member that is secured to a second end of the support. The first member and the second member each has an end that exits the skin. The first and second members are adapted to prevent tissue in-growth into the first member and the second member.

forming an incision in a vagina of the woman; passing a support through the incision and locating the support under a urethra, where the support is a porous mesh adapted to allow tissue in-growth; passing a free end of a first member out of a first skin exit, where the first member includes an opposing second end that is secured to the support via a stabilizer; passing a free end of a second member out of a second skin exit, where the second member includes an opposing second end that is secured to the support; and adjusting the support by applying tension to one of the first member and the second member to adjust a position of the stabilizer; wherein each of the first member and the second member is adapted to prevent tissue in-growth into the first member and the second member.
