1. A wearable remote device for use with a wearable defibrillator comprising:

  • a strap for disposing the wearable remote device on a wrist of a patient;

    a user interface accessible by the patient, a caregiver, a medical service provider or a technician, wherein the user interface is configured toprovide settings for indicating whether information received from the wearable defibrillator is to be one of urgently communicated to the patient or not to be urgently communicated to the patient, andprovide one or more alarms including at least an alarm indicating a cardiac arrhythmia condition of the patient necessitating a therapy;

    a processor configuredto determine whether the information received from the wearable defibrillator is to be urgently communicated to the patient via the wearable remote device and to which a response from the patient is required,to cause, responsive to determining that the information is to be urgently communicated to the patient via the wearable remote device and to which the response from the patient is required, the wearable remote device to provide an alarm comprising both a vibrational notification to the patient and at least one of an audible and a visual notification to the patient to indicate that the alarm is of an urgent nature, andto cause, responsive to determining that the information is not to be urgently communicated to the patient, the wearable remote device to store the information in a memory for subsequent review;

    one or more user response elements that can be actuated by the patient to respond to the alarm communicated to the patient and cause the wearable defibrillator to withhold the therapy that is responsive to the cardiac arrhythmia condition; and

    communications circuitry disposed in the wearable remote device;

    wherein the wearable defibrillator comprises a controller configured to detect the cardiac arrhythmia condition of the patient based on an analysis of at least one ECG signal obtained from the patient via at least one sensing electrode and to begin a treatment sequence to deliver the therapy via at least one therapy electrode; and

    wherein the communications circuitry can wirelessly communicate with the wearable defibrillator to provide information regarding actuation by the patient of the one or more user response elements to the wearable defibrillator to cause the wearable defibrillator to withhold the therapy that is responsive to the cardiac arrhythmia condition.
