1. A color image forming method comprising:
- acquiring identification data of toner cartridges of a plurality of colors by a control unit of an image forming apparatus, when the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors are mounted in the image forming apparatus and each of the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors is used replaceably, the each of the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors comprising a memory storing information corresponding to image formation process parameters dependent on toner characteristic and/or ambient conditions; and
reading the information from the memory and controlling an image forming process based on the information to change the image formation process parameters, when the identification data acquired matches with identifying data previously stored in the image forming apparatus and controlling the image forming process normally without reading the information and without changing the image formation process parameters, when the identification data acquired does not match with the identifying data.

Abstract
A toner cartridge for use with an image forming apparatus includes a memory storing identification data of the toner cartridge and parameter information including image formation process parameters dependent on toner characteristic or ambient conditions. A transceiver unit communicates with the image forming apparatus to send the process parameter information stored in the memory to the image forming apparatus when the identification data is authentic.

an acquiring unit which acquires identification data of toner cartridges of a plurality of colors, when the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors are mounted on the image forming apparatus and each of the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors is used replaceably, the each of the toner cartridges of the plurality of colors comprising a memory storing information corresponding to image formation process parameters dependent on toner characteristic and/or ambient conditions; a reading unit which reads the information from the memory when the identification data acquired matches with identifying data previously stored in the color image forming apparatus and does not read the information from the memory when the identification data acquired does not match with the identifying data; and a control unit which controls an image forming process based on the information to change the image formation process parameters, when the identification data acquired matches with the identifying data, and controls the image forming process normally without changing the image formation process parameters, when the identification data acquired does not match with the identifying data. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
