a memory coupled to the processing unit and storing computer-readable instructions that when executed by the processing unit cause the computing device to;
receive a voicemail message generated from a missed call;
display a text transcription of the voicemail message, wherein the text transcription displays voicemail speech that is not recognized by a transcription application differently than voicemail speech that is recognized by the transcription application;
receive an indication to forward the text transcription of the voicemail message to a recipient; and
forward the text transcription of the voicemail message to the recipient.

Abstract
A method for accessing offline voicemail messages within a mobile messaging application may be provided. First, a voice mail message may be received and the voicemail message may be transcribed to text. Next, the voicemail message and the text transcription may be stored. The recipient may then be presented with a list of voicemail messages and the voicemail message may be retrieved in response to the recipient. The recipient may read or listen to the voicemail message or both. The recipient may also annotate the voicemail message.
